Our Story Starts in Jacksonville
In April 2013, Korey and Lovice Konopasek opened Epik in Jacksonville, FL. Korey was raised in Jacksonville and attended the New England Culinary Institute where he earned a Culinary Arts degree as well as a Food and Beverage Management degree. After completing culinary school, Korey moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to gain more experience in the food & beverage industry. During this time Korey met Lovice who was working at the Las Vegas Hilton. Lovice spent about half her life in Las Vegas after moving there from the Philippines. They later married and decided to relocate to Jacksonville. Epik is a reflection of Korey's and Lovice's passion for delicious, creative, affordable food.
